WHO WAS IAN BRADY, THE MOORS MURDERER

THE CRIMES OF A NOTORIOUS KILLER

Ian Brady and Myra Hindley on a trip to the moors where they buried their innocent victims

Moors murderer Ian Brady was one of the most notorious killers of the 20th century.  He was jailed alongside Myra Hindley, his lover and partner in crime, in 1966 after torturing and murdering five children in a two-year reign-of-terror across northern England.

They killed Pauline Read, 16; John Kilbride, 12; Keith Bennett, 12; Lesley Ann Downey, 10; and Edward Evans, 17 - burying four of their victims in shallow graves on Saddleworth Moor in the Pennines.
