Alvaro Morata has turned down a mega-money move to the Chinese Super League
The striker has rejected a mega-money move to the Chinese Super League

Alvaro Morata, the 24 - year - old Spanish striker, is not interested in the £29.4 million - a - year wages being offered by the Chinese.  He wants a reunion with Antonio Conte.  Conte was Morata's manager at Juventus.

The striker wants to leave Spain because he has been playing second-fiddle to Karim Benzema at Real Madrid despite having scored 20 goals so far this season.

The striker's desperation to start for Spain in next summer's World Cup is bound to see him fight for a move away from Real.

Although Chelsea's technical director, Michael Emenalo, wants to bring back Romelu Lukaku of Everton to Chelsea, Conte feels that Morata would be a better fit.  This has become more important considering the uncertainty surrounding Diego Costa.
