A CASE OF PASTORAL MISADVENTURE

THE FOLLY OF DARING GOD : PASTOR EATEN BY CROCODILES

A pastor from Zimbabwe has been eaten alive by crocodiles.  This was while he was trying to walk on water.  The 'man of God,' from the Satin of the Last Days church was in the process of demonstrating to members of his church how to exercise faith in a perilous situation.

In order to pull off the stunt, he chose the dangerous Crocodile River in Zimbabwe.  Sadly, all that was left of him was his underwear and his sandals floating above the water.

Deacon Nkosi, an eyewitness, said,
'He promised he would demonstrate his faith to us today, but unfortunately ended up drowning and getting eaten by three large crocodiles in front of us.  We still don't understand how this happened because he fasted and prayed the whole week.  They finished him in a couple of minutes.'

My questions are :  When will Christian leaders learn that it is simply not biblical to tempt God?  When will pastors stop deceiving and misleading their congregations?

This pastor, who perished in front of his church members, was a victim of his own folly.  The Lord Jesus Christ, in Matthew 4 verse 7, taught us not to tempt God.  Even prophet Daniel, who survived a lions' den, did not walk into the lions' den, he was thrown into the den as a result of the activities of his enemies.  God delivered him because of this.  Whenever charlatans, that is, people who are not grounded in the Word of God try to lead people for God it always ends in disaster.
