TRUMP, KIM AND THE DRUMS OF WAR

International experts cannot tell whether President Trump is actually considering launching a strike on Kim Jong-un, pictured, who is trying to develop a long-range nuclear missile

The leader of the free world, Donald Trump, has issued a chilling warning that he might be forced to take unilateral action against North Korea should China refuse to play ball.  Hear the US president in an interview, 'If China is not going to solve North Korea, we will.'

People around the world are becoming increasingly nervous and rightly so.  What with the history of North Korea whose first ruler Kim II-Sung, grandfather to the present ruler, launched the 1950 Korean War.  Kim Jong-Un, the present leader, continues to provoke and the country has refused to renounce its nuclear weapons.  World leaders are apprehensive that, unlike recent US leaders, President Trump may actually decide to call the bluff of the rogue regime.

People expect China to do something because it appears only the Chinese can put any meaningful pressure on the young tyrant in Pyongyang.  Surprisingly, the 'experts' forget that China will not dance to the tune of the world.  The Chinese know that it is their interests that matter most.  This is international politics.

However, the only thing that all those who know God can and should do is to petition the One who sits on the Throne of the universe and who holds the future in His hands.  What will happen in the future will not be down to Donald Trump or Kim Jong-Un.  We must also pray that God gives the world leaders the necessary wisdom to handle the present situation.
