THREATENS TO QUIT REAL MADRID IF THEY SIGN EDEN HAZARD OR ANTOINE GRIEZMANN

CHRISTIANO RONALDO has expressed dismay at the preparedness of Real Madrid to sign either Eden Hazard of Chelsea or Antoine Griezmann of Atletico Madrid. His fears , mainly, are that either would steal his limelight. Ronaldo has therefore threatened to quit Real if they sign Hazard or Griezmann. The player's influence at the club simply means that Ronaldo's threats are taken seriously. Nonetheless, the club are beginning to plan for the future in view of their ageing stars. Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos and Luka Modric are all in their thirties.

| Rex Features:Eden Hazard Real Madrid's coach, Zinedine Zidane, has always been an admirer of Chelsea star Hazard while Griezmann has become a target because he has consistently demonstrated his explosive skills at the Vincente Calderon. However, Ronaldo is of the opinion that either of these players would overshadow him should they come to Real Madrid. It remains to be seen what the club decides to do. |
